Bulldogs Bulletin: October 6, 2025
Happy Sunday! Hopefully everyone is having a good one. If you are a sports fan, there was plenty to check out this weekend! We have a full, five day week coming up so please read through the information below.
NEW INFORMATION
Verification & Reunification Forms: Thank you to all the families who have returned their verification and reunification forms! We are still waiting for a few more so please be sure to get those in as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the forms, please contact our office.
Scholastic Book Fair Volunteers: We are thrilled to be running the Scholastic Book Fair again this year! It is a great opportunity for our students to buy books they love and for families to get a jump start on Christmas shopping! In order for it to be a success, we need parents to come and help out. If you are able to volunteer on October 22nd or October 23rd, please email Ms Galloway in the LLC (stephanie.bgalloway@abbyschools.ca).
Thanksgiving Monday - No School: Just a reminder that next Monday October 13th is Thanksgiving. There is no school.
INFORMATION FROM LAST WEEK
Chocolate Sales Fundraiser: Last week our students were introduced to one of our biggest fundraisers of the year ... chocolate sales. Students have picked up their case to sell the 30 boxes inside. Please note that students are responsible for either the money for the case ($90) or returning any unsold boxes. Please reach out to your family and friends (students do not need to sell door to door). We look forward to another successful year.
Field Renaming: Last Friday, our school participated in the renaming of the MRC fields adjacent to the building. We are especially proud to announce the Bulldog Field will now be called the Sophie Schmidt Field. Sophie attended Howe Middle and went on to represent Canadian soccer on the national scale. We are excited to have our field named after this legacy Bulldog.
Used Books Wanted: We are taking book donations that are in very good/excellent condition ranging in all levels from primary - middle school, all year round. They can be used to redistribute to classes or circulated in the library. Please bring to the LLC in Room 202. Thanks for your generosity in advance!
