Bulldog Bulletin - October 18, 2026

Hopefully everyone enjoyed their weekend! If you are a sports fan, it's a great time of year with all the major sports either starting up or coming to an end! We have a busy week ahead so please read through the information below.

NEW INFORMATION

Parent Teacher Conferences: A reminder that parent teacher conferences will be happening this Wednesday (12:30 - 2:30 & 4:30 - 7:30) and Thursday (12:30 - 2:30). This is a great time to talk directly to your child's teachers about how they are progressing so far this year. Appointments should be made through School Appointments Online (CLICK HERE). Instructions were emailed out last week. If you have any issues, you can contact the office.

Early Dismissal Days: In order to make time for Parent Teacher Conferences, students will be dismissed at 11:34 on both Wednesday October 21st and Thursday October 22nd. We will be running a 5-block schedule with each class being shortened. You can CLICK HERE to see the schedule for that day.

Photo Day: This Wednesday is our School Photo Day. We will be taking individual photos of students during the morning.

Non-Instructional Day #2: A reminder that this Friday is our second Professional Development Day for staff. Students do not attend school so our staff can participate in a variety of learning opportunities.

LLC Pop Up Sale: Our Learning Commons Library (Room 200) is hosting a fun Pop-Up Shop on Wednesday, October 21 (12:30-2:30 p.m. and 4:30-7:30 p.m.) and Thursday, October 22 (12:30-2:30 p.m.)! Students and families can browse a variety of affordable items, including stickers, bookmarks, stationery, candies, chips, chocolate bars, and poster giveaways. This is a great chance to pick up a few fun treats while supporting the library. Please note: cash only. We hope to see you there! 📚🍫 🎉

INFORMATION FROM LAST WEEK

IEP Meetings: Over the next couple weeks, any students who have a Ministry Designation will be contacted by our LSS department to set up an Individual Education Plan meeting. This is an opportunity to set specific goals for students. We have many meetings to coordinate so your patience as we go through this process is appreciated.

PAC NEWS

Neufeld Farm Fundraiser: We will be starting our next fundraiser shortly using Neufeld Farms! We will send home an online link that will allow parents to order a variety of items with partial proceeds going to help support our Bulldogs! It will run from October 15th until November 2nd.

You Are The PAC: A reminder to all our families that having a student at Colleen and Gordie Howe Middle School means you are already part of our PAC! We will be sharing the schedule for meetings shortly so please be on the lookout and make plans to attend.
